You will find our house Am Moos Close to the city of Salzburg. Moosstrasse, the street on which we are located, is 5 kilometers long and leads directly into the old city center. There are frequent buses from our house to the city centre and the typical trip on Number 21 takes 10 to 20 minutes. The bus runs every 15 minutes during the day. Sunday and in the evening, buses run every 30 minutes and the last bus to our house leaves the city center at 2310 (11:10 pm). Although limited parking is available on the outskirts of the Altstadt (old city) under the Monchberg mountain, a better and less expensive option is to take the bus either from our house or from one of the many park and ride locations. So we are not directly, or even in walking distance of the Altstadt. We are in the Leopoldkroner Moos area with the lake and castle of the Schloss Leopoldron, famous from the movie “The Sound of Music”. We are also very close to the famous Untersberg mountain with a cable car leading to wonderful mountain hikes.
